Ive never heard of this guy until now that he might be potential opponent for Povetkin. Anybody seen this guys fight? He seems pretty confident and thinks that Povetkin won't be a big threat.
estrada was a 2004 olympian in the same class as povetkin....at superheavy...hes from here in rhode island....doesnt have any real power...im rooting for him...but ulitmately hes a kid who talks a big game but wont do enough to win on the road...his only loss was a decision to travis walker on shobox...estrada claimed he hurt something...cant remember what it was...shoulder maybe?
He's very much like Eddie Chambers without the same snap on his punches. He's a kid that doesn't move much but is a counterpuncher with no knockout power. You'd think Povetkin would roll him up, but Estrada is pretty skilled and slick. I don't think it's an easy night for him. As a side note, nice to see The Brain back. Loved you on Tuesday Night Wrestling with Gorilla Monsoon and Lord Alfred Hayes back in the 80's.
Seems unmotivated to me. He's chubby and doesn't work to hard in the ring. When he lost in the Olympics , he didn't seem upset, he was like "oh well". I think Povetkin gives him a drubbing.
so what your saying is jason has glass chin???? your crazy what proof do you have that he is going to get ko'ed.....when was the last time he got dropped?
I never said he has a Glass Jaw. He has not fought anyone. He is undisciplined, he has no power, and he is not agressive enough to beat a fighter like Povetkin. Povetkin is everything Estrada is not. I still remember the disgraceful comments Estrada made after he was bounced from the Olympics. He did not even care.
We've established he isn't world class, but there might be some money to be made domestically or regionally for him. It would be interesting to see him in with the other American prospects. Chambers/Estrada would not be a fan favorite brawl but technical boxing fans would enjoy it. Kevin Johnson is another possibility, as is someone like Travis Walker.
Clay-Bey was more naturally talented. With an earlier start at a younger age, I think Clay-Bey could have been a world champion as a pro. Estrada is a step below.
