Anybody have footage of Merchant giving Litzau **** for coming over to him by the ropes before the decision ? Was hilarious.
Merchant wasnt giving Litzau ****. He was pointing at Dibella and giving him thumbs down when Dibella was asking the HBO crew who they scored it for.
I thought that he was talking to Manny Stewert & that punk ******* Merchant got upset b/c he was in the middle of a sentence. Gave the dreaded Jew thumbs down. :| **** :bart
I dont like larry merchant, he has a habit of interrupting boxers while they speak or just cut teh conversation off, he also comes across as a bit of dick to guys he doesnt like.
I'm all for Ole Larry. We need more of him, not dipshits who don't have the balls to say what needs to be said. I need to take a look at that footage. Some writers already cited this incident and yes, according to them it's DiBella he was talking to not Litzau.
I've commented on this post elsewhere. Jason was talking to Manny because they had bumped into one another in the elevator previously in which Jason told him he was going to shock everyone. He was coming over to say I told you. Manny is off camera sitting to Merchants left (right from our perspective)... Merchant is however carrying on a conversation with Lou Dibella who is to Jason's left but you don't see him until the cameraman moves the angle of the shot. You hear Dibella talking about what weight his guy needs to fight at and says 145... Larry thumbs down. Unlike many I don't think it was disrespect at all... Have you ever been in the ring after a fight.. you can barely hear anything... Larry had no way to communicate his answer to Lou so he did it non-verbally.
