Oh yeah he did alot of great escapes in that fight. Mayhem has some great Jiujitsu hes very underatted IMO. Im really looking forward to the Mayhem and Robbie Lawler rematch.
sorry if this has been posted before but golden [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfpkLpz30Ac[/ame]
Jake beat Mayhem but dont forget Mayhem basically had him finished with the RNC but time ran out in the 3rd. The fight was very competitive up until that point then in the 4th and 5th Shields stopped taking risks and humped his way to a decision. Diaz-Mayhem would be extremly competitive as Mayhem isnt giving away the reach most fighters do and he isnt going to allow Diaz to wear him down. Mayhem will be right there kicking at Diaz legs and trading with him and making it a hell of a fight. Mayhem is a very underatted fighter.
Mayhem has some of the best jujitsu and muay thai in MMA. Not to mention submitting him is next to impossible. Ask GSP. Nick Diaz would get a rude awakening especially at 185. Miller is backing out of the Hollywood limelight and back into serious training which spells a looooong night for whoever He faces win or lose.
I know Diaz seriously deserves a suspension and right now is scheduled to face Hayato Sakurai and Mayhem is headed for a Robbie Lawler rematch. I say dont suspend Diaz I feel like let them fight there upcoming bouts then pull a TUF 1. Remember when Koscheck and Leben had issues ? ****ing let them fight. Regardless of what happens Diaz and Mayhem are very talented and marketable fights this is a cant miss fight because of one the trash talk and 2 they both love to get in there and scrap this wont be a lets hug it out a slow jabbing and occassionally power punch type of fight. Diaz has no real tough options at 170 to defend his belt agianst and he showed in 09 fighting at 180 was no problem and Mayhem has spent some time at 170 im sure he wouldnt mind that weight.
I agree. I'am a big Diaz/Cesar Gracie team fan so, I was probabley being a bit bias. Miller is underrated and Shields/Miller was very competitive. By no means did Shields "kick Miller's ass". I would still pick both Shields and Diaz to beat Miller, though. I think Diaz could beat him pretty good.
