Appearing on ESPN just 48 hours after his twin brother headlines the same network to make his first title defense since being upgraded from interim to full 'regular' WBA champion at 115lbs, the Waratah bantamweight is perhaps the likelier sibling to stumble on the big stage this week. Báez looked absolutely dominant shutting out Moises Flores in February (although it was admittedly somewhat a battle-ravaged and worse for wear version of Chucky).
I really like Baez and picked him to upset Chucky, but he's getting ****ed up by Jason. Jason by TKO6.
That is pretty much how I landed on my predication as well. The unknown factor here being......Does watching your twin brother get hurt badly and almost stopped late in a loss motivate you? Or does it shake you up?
I think Jason is much better and more durable than Andrew. But i do rate Baez above Franco tbh. Should be a good fight anyway.
Jason has always been the better brother. Andrew gets knocked down by Filipino journeymen (albeit some of the best breed of journeymen around) while Jason kicks their butts without much of a scratch. I fancy Jason by decision here. I think Baez is too slow to make Jason pay for his defensive mistakes.
