Jason Pagara 16 year old Philipino 'phenomenon' won again tonight stretching his record to 16(9)-1 against journeyman Arnel Porras, Pagara is also the holder of the mouthful of a title 'WBO Asia Pacific Youth Lightweight Title'

Having such a record like this (albeit against small fry opponents) at such a young age, can any ESBers tell me of any other boxers that started out pro from a really young age

there's a ton. Wilfredo Benitez would be the best example. One of my faves - World Champion at 17 and defended it against the likes of Carlos palamino by 20 years old then faced Sugar Ray Leonard in Leonards first title bout and we all know what happened there. But there's a shitload of dudes that have started at 15-16-17 even nowadays...antonio margarito for one.

But still that's some impressive **** and I'm hyped to see some of this Jason Pagara kid, sounds like he's progressing quickly.
