How many times did Quigley and Anthony Fowler fight one another in the amateurs? Anyone know the outcomes?

I've seen Quigley beat him 6-4 back in 2009, thats it.

think that was the only fight they had

he beat ogogo twice easily when he was still a teenager and ogogo was 3 years older than him

Yeah remember seeing that he'd beaten Ogogo.

Shame that Fowler is staying amateur until after Rio... he's improved leaps and bounds over the last 2 years & I think his style will be suited to the pro's.

Him turning over at the same time as Quigley could have set the wheels in motion for a good little rivalry.

i taught Fowler should have been Britains number 1 for the last olympics

Fowler actually made a great decision staying amatuer, the division has been cleaned out after the olympics and even since then

after the last olympics Murata,Florentino, Ogogo went pro

since then Quigley, and Hartel have gone pro

Cuba dont have a good middleweight also, Atoev also seems to be finished

the best fighters left in the division are Chebatarov and Alimkhanuly. Alimkhanuly might be the reigning world champion but i feel Juratoni probebly beat him and got robbed, Also he had a huge advantage when he beat Quigley as he got a walk over in his semi final, which meant he has a 3 day rest before the final while quigley had a fight the day before. Both of them are beatable for Fowler ,id make him the gold medal favorite for the olympics and his better off sticking around to get that

he will also be competing in the WSB next year which will det him up nicely for the pros

think Quigley has a style advantage over Fowler he moves a lot better and controls distance well, in saying that it would be a great fight down the line

he better not grow much in the next 2 years because he would have no chance of getting a medal at light heavyweight too many good fighters there

Do agree he made the correct decision staying amateur, just saying if he had turned over it would have set a fight up with Quigley at some point down the line quite nicely - but I guess we'll have to wait a bit longer for it to hopefully pan out!

He's had a few of the Matchroom lads calling him the "next" Carl Froch & after strong performances in the Commonwealths the pressure will be on him to deliver gold in Rio - I back him to do just that.

2 more years in the WSB's against the top top amateurs + Rio will set him up nicely for the pro's - agreed. But with that, he'll be turning pro at what 25/26? With that experience behind him, I hope he is pushed properly i.e. not fed fodder for 10-15 fights nor rushed either.

Would look likely that he'd turn pro with Hearn also.

In all fairness mate the commonwealth games mean very little there's barely any good competition, his bronze at the worlds was way more impressive

He had 1 or 2 fights in the wsb before and look really good, and I'm glad you mentioned Carl froch because he reminds me a lot of him but maybe a bit more orthodox

If I was him I wouldn't go pro with Hearn he will be facing cans for 20-39 fights, he should be brought alone like murata or khytrov
