Looks like Jason's being marched in front of the firing squad again here. Cash looks a sharp young prospect who hasn't just been walking over stiffs. Those of you who are regulars on this site will know that I am a huge Welborn fan. Jason has done so much to keep professional Boxing alive here in the West Midlands. He's kept us on the edge of our seats for a decade bless him. At 34, it may well be one too many for Welborn. Just make sure the Ref sorts out anything low. What do you reckon ?
I have Cash as the favourite in the fight, but Welborn has a chance. Jack Cullen landed alot on Cash and if Welborn with his harder punching does so he is in with a good chance. Personally i also think Cash might be too fresh for Welborn.
Good fight and a good test for Cash. I'm not all that high on Cash, but he probably will be too fresh for Welborn. Jason Welborn looked jaded against James Metcalf, I don't suspect he has much left in the tank. If he can turn back the clock one more time, he will give Cash hell.
Really hope Welborn can pulled it off. Real sound lad watched a lot of his fights live. Tough ask this fight after a long hard career. Hope he has got a bit left in the tank. Can see an all out toe toe war.
Cash looks good i have to admit, all be it against poor to average opposition This will be his first real step up and in all honesty, a test i see him passing with no great concern Good fight for fans to watch however
I suppose it will come down to how much welborn wants to keep going. If he comes with the 'eye of the tiger" I could see him beating cash but anything less and I think that cash, much the same as everyone else has pointed out, he'll be too fresh. I'm looking fwd to this fight tho, I'd like to see a big rally from wellborn.
If Welborn has a bit left in the tank then this is a good test for Cash. I'm still not sure how highly I rate him but hopefully this gives us more of an insight.
If Welborn can put the form together that seen him put Langford and Morrison away then I think he's right in this. I think Cash is better than those two mentioned but I'm still not "sold" on him to be honest however think he might be too fresh for Welborn at this stage.
Sorry but I think Welborn is made for Cash and has too many miles on the clock. Cash inside the distance.
The version of Welborn who went tooth and nail with Matthew Macklin would be too much for young Cash. After that and his hammering of Marcus Morrison Jason was avoided at his level. Love the new profile pic Maley. FWAW.
I don't reckon Cash hits hard enough to stop Welborn unless he does what everyone else does against him. Whack him south of the border then go for the body.
Ha ha cheers mate hopefully another 3 points tonight. Yeah totally agree with regards to welborn. Tho I thought the second Langford fight was very close after a great start. Welborn seems to change his team alot. Training with Richie ghent now. After a few spells with Erroll Johnson and shaun cooper.
Agree about the second Tommy Langford fight. Tommy was exceptionally brave that night and I reckon that took a lot out of him. As regards the team changes, a lot of that is down to time available. Running his own business these days means Jason can train pretty much full time. A lot of the trainers can't match that as they have other jobs. To be honest, the lads from Dudley are almost inter changeable and Welborn won't change his training radically at his age.
