    Chavez was looked over from the beginning his brothers were considered better prospects than him. I remember going to Olympic Auditorium expecting Martinez to Kill him; however, in the end it was the other way around. Even after that fight believe it or not most Mexican fans were not too thrilled about him. Its a shame that he fought about 15 more times than he had to.

    Great Clips Ive seen alot of greats but none who could mix their attack between the body and head so beautifully, I agree punchout he is very underrated by American Fans. Especially by the young ones who started watching boxing when he was past his prime.
    It was cool watching him ko Mayweather:lol: Very underrated defensive fighter.
    Underrated hand speed just look at the way he took off on Haugen against the ropes.
    Also one of the most accurate punchers ive ever seen.

    In his prime JC Chavez had a good defense though that is overlooked by his great offense. Probably the best body puncher ever.
