17th March 1990 Richard Steele saved Chavez's '0' in the last second.

Watching Pacman v Cotto & Mayweather v JM Marquez a 2nd time. I have a feeling that this fight could be similar 2 the classic 2 decades ago. Mayweather with his dazzling speed will win rounds, but Pacman will keep going like a buzzsaw and come round 12 there could be a repeat ending.

It won't be anything like that. PBF is lightyears better defensively and smarter than Taylor was not to mention he's a stylistic nightmare for Pac as well.:deal BTW it was Taylor's Philly fighter's mentality that lead to his undoing in that fight that and in incompentant Richard Steele.

Apples and oranges. Mayweather and Taylor fight nothing alike. Mayweather is one of the best defensive fighters of All Time and Taylor was an offensive volume fighter with speed and had little defense. I'll also ignore the Roger Mayweather-Meldrick Taylor mistake.

Indeed it was! JCC had already defeated "The Mamba" twice when his fight with Taylor (in March 1990) occurred.
