Ganigan had awesome power, that's it, a tough guy with a big heart, but Chavez can take that punch if it lands and then within 1-3 rounds KO's poor Andy who is way overmatched in all aspects of the game.
Now if Pryor who was ranked #3 at LW at one point had not run to JWW had fought him, would have been better, WhY? if Andy hits him once, he is out cold, but he has to hit him 1st, Andy just was not that good of a fighter, his power made him what he was, he dismantled poor sean O'grady

Ganigan was too one dimensional. One of the hardest punchers ever at 135, which got him pretty far, but not enough other skills against to beat an ATG like Chavez.

Chavez easy. Ganigan would have been completely overmatched. He hit really hard, but I don't see him laying a glove on Chavez.
