These Jr. are nowhere near the as good as the Sr. were. But it would be interesting to see them duke it out just for fun. Chavez jr. is a protected fighter if ever saw one. camacho Jr. breaks down against tough fighters, but might have enough to land some shots on chavez jr. In the end I see Chavez Jr. just being to much for Camacho jr. and will make him quit. No avenging the loss of the Sr. here for Camacho.
I saw more mental toughness out of Chavez Jr. last night than I saw in the other Jr.'s entire career. I'd pick the former to win comfortably. If I was JCC Jr.'s people, I'd be getting him in the ring with Feliciano before the year is up. That's a step up he's ready for.
If I was Top Rank, I would keep him away from Feliciano for a while. He's not ready for a fighter like that yet. He doesn't only need to improve technically, he needs to become more comfortable in the ring mentally and be put up against some more C- level live pressure fighters before he steps up to a guy like Feliciano.
Maybe it would be too much of a risk. I see it as a chance though for Jr. to get a "name" on his record, and probably do it by way of highlight reel KO. Trust me, I've gotten plenty of laughs about this "undefeated record" also, but really, he didn't look horrible by any stretch last night. He used the ring fairly well, and he countered well enough for me to think he starches Feliciano way before it turns into a war of attrition. Just my .02.
He didn't look "horrible" because of the opponent he was up against. If you watched his previous fights against live fighters who pressure him, you would see how flawed he is technically and mentally. He wouldnt't be able to stop Feliciano because he lacks finishing abilities and his one punch power is nothing worth noting. If Feliciano showed up motivated like he usually does for TV fights, I see him TKO'ing Chavez in the late rounds.
i have to agree JCC Jr cant handle pressure and isnt mentally their yet. 2 or 3 (name escapes me) fights ago he went up against a southpaw pressure fighter that pretty much owned him though the whole fight of course not much pop , if the other guy had a little more pop it would have went his way if it wasnt for a power punch that knocked ths guy down JCC Jr might have lost. Jcc Jr couldnt handle a southpaw mentally and was getting hit all night, good thing for him the guy didnt have a chin.
JCC Jr. Is up to what 30 wins already... yeah he needs to realy pick up the level of competition. Gomez called him out, Malignaggi challenged him as well. A fight against Feliciano would be a great way to test him out, good one there HUKI.
gomez would win SD and malnaggi would dominate him all night. but if these two guys are calling him out i guess they want a good easy payday. but i would love to see a JCC jr vs C jr would be funny its like pimpin your kid
I think Gomez or Feliciano would be a good step up fight for JCC jr. I think JCC jr. has what it takes to win that fight. I would definitely stay away from Malignaggi who will box circles around him. Don't think that fight will happen because JCC jr can not make 140 anymore.
Camacho Jr. is a ***** who I almost got into a fight with in Spanish Harlem. He got his ass spanked out in Keyspan Park by an old Jesse James Leija and that was all I needed to see from him. Chavez Jr. KO5 Camacho Jr.
I think JCC Jr. could handle Feliciano, if he can just maintain the discipline to outbox him and circle for 10. He still needs more seasoning with handling pressure fighters by using his jab and parry on the inside, not just trading and hoping to overpower them.
Camacho JR got a lot of natural talent, he just never seem to be focused or maybe he just dont give a ****, i would have to say Chaver JR might take it
