If this fight happens, JCC Jr. is going to get owned. That stop was bull****. I'd like to see him stand in front of Martinez with his hands low like he did against Manfredo.

**** the grain, I'm going against it.
I like this fight for Chavez Jr. Vs. Martinez is a winnable fight IMO.

    Serious styles clash.

this is true... there is always the age difference... I think it will be an interesting fight, but I still think JCC Jr. gets beat.

Jr. would probably lose, but it will for damn sure be competitive. He's got the size and the jab. His boxing skills have improved dramatically. I think Sergio presents something he won't see very often, a fast tricky southpaw with power, and that'll be the difference in the fight.

Martinez wins, obviously. But it'll be more competitive than most are making out. A shame Arum will never let this happen. Would have been a very entertaining fight.

Chavez's size makes it a competitive fight, his mass.
Martinez had dodgy patches with Darren Barker, who is the biggest middleweight SMM has fought. Chavez is even bigger, it'd be interesting to see how Martinez combats that.
I pick Sergio to win, but in a much closer fight than people think.

There's a reason Jr. will stick to fighting professionally selected tomato cans by his experienced father forever. Don't even dream to see this fight unless Martinez loses his next four fights by KO.

Martinez is bigger then people realise. He's added a lot of muscle mass and the guy walks around at something ridiculous like 180 lbs or so.

Chavez is too easy to hit, he has poor twitch fibres and would look as slow as speaking French with a phrase book.

Martinez stops Chavez Jr within 7 rounds or gives him a tortuous beating over 12. No contest.

Jr really surprised me. He looks dedicated, but if he can be consistent is my biggest concern. Still I do agree it will be more competitive than most think. Jr vs Pavlik might of been nice.

Not many thought his old man had much of a chance going in against Rosario, either.
