    Who wins?

I think the Lion of Culiacan beats the stuffing out of JMM at all three weights. JMM is a great little fighter, but JCC is on a whole different level.

I have already said I think JMM is the better overall fighter, but JCC won't go down. He could do the Katsidis/Diaz on JMM without going down.

JMM is my boy but at 135 or 140 it isn't even debatable that Chavez wins. Why even match up a small lightweight coming to the end of his career with a legend who was probably at his best at theis weight? Also, JMM has never even fought at 140, so that match-up seems even more ludicrous.

I suppose you could give Juan a shot at 130 but he'd still be a clear underdog.

Nobody ko's Chavez at 135. JMM's best fighting weight was 122-126 if Chavez ever fought him that low JMM would school him. 135 is obviously JCC's domain and his best fighting weight. LaPorte was the only one close in beating him there and that was probably LaPorte's best performance and who I think is one of the most underrated fighters in history. JCC drops JMM at least 3-4 times, JMM then wins acouple of rounds, and JCC smothers him and probably would stop him on a 12th round TKO or wins by a highly competitive UD. JMM lacking defense would be his achilles heel on this fight and the machismo would be at an alltime high, but in a way JMM's style would be tailor made for Chavez. Chavez by UD.

Wow! How did you come to the conclusion that JMM is the better overall fighter? Have you seen vintage JCC or just the last couple of years of his career?

JMM is a world-class boxer/technician, but he just seems a wee bit vulnerable when up against the best of the best. I think JCC workrate and pressure would be too much for JMM. I hope you aren't implying that JCC had no D because JCC wasn't the least bit like Katsidis, who did not have any head movement or defense.

I remember the Taylor fight but since he and Marquez aren't alike in the slightest, I don't see the connection.

How would Marquez be competative with Chavez at 140?

Yes, I remember Taylor's fast hands. JMM is nowhere near as fast. Question is, do you remember what JCC did to Taylor? It might be semi-competitive for the first few rounds, but I think JCC clearly dominates him.

JCC wins at all weights with JMM having the best shot at 130 IMO.

Marquez is the more technically versitile fighter but he likes to let the warrior out after being hit and that would be his downfall against a technical stalker with the power JCC had. It would be wild. I would name it "There Will Be Blood".. That's goes for both faces by the 5th round.

Just out of curiosity, how many have actually seen JCC pre-1992-93 and earlier?

For me this is easy. JMM UD him wide.

JCC is one of the most overrated fighters in boxing history.

Chavez is better and bigger. Not a difficult call to make. Chavez takes it at all 3 weights.
