Who do you fancy at Lightweight. Shane has some similairites to Meldrick Taylor in that he fights with fast fluries and likes to get involved. He was also a brilliant body puncher at that weight and was a harder hitter than Taylor. Would this be enough to slow down Chavez or would Chavez's constant body assault and pressure break Mosley down?
Good fight, Mosley is defo a harder puncher than M. Taylor. But Chavez was peaking in/around this weight class. Gonna have to wait for FN4 to settle this one..
JCC murders his ribcage, Mosley fights back valiantly, starts bleeding internally around the 9th rd and gets stopped in the 11th.
Close fight, both were peaked at this weight.... I think Chavez wins a close decision, he was real good at slipping punches at this weight, I believe he could get inside to work Shane`s body without taking too many point scoring blows & make Shane go to war in spells which Chavez would land the more telling shots... enough to take the decision.
Mosley was Chavez third sparring partner that afternoon as you can see Chavez was all relaxed 5th round already mosley just trying his best.
Look at the way hoya went out when faced with quite similar circumstances (as in way past prime) in the Pac fight, he went out like a bender. Chavez >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> dlh
