JCC would make today's 135 look mediocre?

Mayweather Jr. would beat him?? Even Mayweather Jr. would slap you 1,000 times for saying that. Chavez made it a habit of eating up Mayweathers, just for your information.

I don't mind, JCC is legend and probably one of the best ever at 135, but he does have a massively padded record just like his son. When he fought an ATG he got an absolute gift of a draw.

Why are you bringing Hatton into this :patsch

like i said when you have as much fights as Jc had youre going to have some bums in there, hes a legend nonetheless.

im brought Hatton up cause i find it funny that a Hatton nutthugger of all people is criticizing a record of an ATG.

Just because I like Hatton doesn't mean I can't criticize other boxers records? I don't believe Hatton to have the best record around but I like him as a person (having met him) and like him as a boxer..

We can at least agree JCC is legend. Unlike his son, who's a total disgrace to boxing. (maybe not totally his own fault)

The only hard part would be chasing guzrun down. Chavez would destroy him

There is a lot of shite on JCC's resume but that was down mainly to him having very little amatuer experience so they had to build him up slowly. This happens a lot in Mexico.

Also, like fighter's of old, instead of taking 6 months or more off between fights against top fighters, JCC would step back into the ring 2-3 months later. Ok the opponent may not have always been world class but they were often ranked opponents. If a fighter is going to have 2 meaningful fights a year then i would much rather he fights inbetween these fights (even if the opponents aren't world class) instead of sitting at home on his arse.

So yes, his resume is hugely padded but a sign of how good his padded resume actually is is that there are not many names not on his record that should be on it. He generally fought the best that there was to fight.

It would be all-out war. I think Chavez would win though b/c prime 4 prime i don't see Marquez being able to KO him. If it was a prime Chavez in the fight against Marquez Saturday night building the early lead he would not have faded and gotten KO-ed. Plus JCC had more power than Diaz so he may have even KO-ed Marquez relatively early.
