he had a promotional issue...its sorted out now....so hes fighting......

who cares whos fault it is/was? ITS IRRELEVANT....he was out of the ring for basically two years...and hes moving up and going to fight one of the top p4p fighters in the sport within the next year......he wants to get comfy at a new weight and test himself against a higher caliber opponent than smith.....whats wrong with that? nothing is the correct answer

Holy Christ...this is tiring. The Ward fight was not turned down. What was GGG teams' response? It was that the contract was ridiculous and instead of signing a contract which would limit GGG to 50/50 in the future, as both agreed, in the future, why not sign a contract when they're both ready for the fight.

Plain and simple.

Lara called out GGG? Ok, and GGG's team said make an offer, win a title, get in the division, take a division fight, call them and make the match. Who doesn't know what will happen to Lara when they fight? Why am I even discussing this?

 

Right...but GGG gets called out for having been a pro for so long and not having enough quality opposition on his resume, but the fact that he had a major promotional issue with his former German promotional company is labeled as an excuse, or just forgotten, or worse yet, denied.

gggs promotional issue has been resolved for some time now.....and hes been active...yet still nothing of note on the resume

 

And yet Andre Ward has not fought a quality opponent since 2011...and I'm an Andre Ward fan. The GGG hate is just fuking ridiculous.

he will be signing a contract within days to fight barrera whom many say is very quality....and he has a deal in place with hbo and duva for a kovalev fight

Ggg v jt would be unbelievable, strict due to jt being able to take so many hard, clean power shots. Roy wouldn't make it very far if any rounds at all.

There's a massive gap in punch resistance between roy and jt that roy wouldn't have a real chance can of making it competitive while jt has proven he can take hw shots for 12 rounds, and that's an out of shape fat a $$ jt.

 

RJJ strong favourite. Toney 50/50.

This isn't exactly insulting to GGG though.

 

Roy and jt both fought at mw, if they were at 68 jt would Meet at 164 buy it doubt roy meets ggg at any weight.

The question still stands, would they rather fight the biggest beast to ever see 160/164 or would they rather face a killer at 175.

Calzaghe would either meet at 164 or wait at 168 for his real challenger take care of his obligations at 160 before running away.

I'm starting to think ward didn't move to 175 for aNY reason other than he couldn't make 68 comfortably any longer. That would make the most sense to me.

Only problem is ward said hed fight fmj at 154 and he'd fight wlad at hw. Too bad it's gotten 100x harder to win a belt at hw recently. I'm wondering when wards going to challenge for a hw title. If he wanted to, Martin is his only real chance. idk ward would need to be 200+, there's no more ruiz holding a belt hostage any longer.

Yikes on my side, but not wards side at all. Seeing how he ate himself out of smw while getting ko'd in court. Bet he'd rather had been ko'd in the ring. That's coming too.

I'm not sold on ward claiming, he's waiting only on paperwork for a barerra fight. Not sitting well, that's a huge betters fight.. everyone is licking their chops, too much $$$ will be put on barrera since he'll probably be the live dog
