Sure boxing matters, the point is that that idiot Ricco assumes it is everything. Brock offers a lot to teach and has a great team of coaches he works with. What fighters take most from TUF is how to work like a pro when in comes to training, which Brock certainly can teach.
This is my thinking. I was thinking in terms of UFC using it to exposure some of their new, lighter guys as well (personally thought they'd use this series for Bantams/Feathers)
I originally watched TUF to see the up and coming MMA fighters, it turned out that the show is really not about that. The show is really about meatheads acting stupid and giving MMA a bad name, in that case who better to coach them then Brock Lesnar king of the meathead douchebags. Rating will be good and thats what really matters anyway:good
You're right it does suck and make bad publicity for mma. But I love learning more about the fighters I like. JDS is amazing and i know nothing else about him except for his amazing performances. I want to see how he trains, how he acts with the young fighters and see his fighter's mentality, same reason I watched season 12, to learn even more about GSP and how he acts as a coach instead of the typical fighter we're used to see. Plus JDS will most likely be better socially to interact with the kids, i'm sure he'll make them very comfortable early, while Brock isn't really the social type. Who could possibly want to be on Brock's team seriously? :think P.S.: I just learned that from sportsnet: I know I'll be watching the GP!! :good
Honestly if we could see more of the training maybe I would tune in....but 60% of the show is what is happening at the house, who's smoking cigarette, who is the loudest mouth, etc...We don't see much of the training unfortunatly . Yeah, SF GP...can't wait, less then a month to see Fedor back into the action, can't w8 !
