Who wants to see Cain get another shot? Werdum and The Reem can keep JDS occupied until Cormier wastes Mir and comes over.

My main point is that the heavyweight champion should have to fight 2-3 times a year. I support Cain because I think it is the best fight for JDS at the moment. If it was Werdum, I wouldn't mind either. Who else is there to fight in September?

The better options for JDS are not available in September. Cormier can't fight because he has to defend the title in Strikeforce, and Overeem can't fight until January or so.

Am I the only one that thinks an Overeem fight for JDS would be much easier than a Velasquez rematch?

It would be easier to win over Overeem when he is on the rebound

Cain might be the strongest opponent for JDS, but doesn't mean it's good timing. I just want to see JDS fight other guys right now, and let Cain build up his confidence and fan appeal yet again by winning some fights.
If cain were to lose the same way he did last time.. Can you imagine how bad that'd be? Possibly career ending for Cain, he'd lose so much confidence. Rematch will happen, but I'd almost rather see them cruch bums-somewhat decent opponents until there rematch.
