He'll be looking to smoother JDS and not let him dictate the range with his hands. Depends on how good Juniors clinch work is, we havent really seen to much of it, but if Carwin who was a close to being done in the 1st as anyone can get JDS down, albeit briefly, in the 2nd, then Cain will take confidence in that

Also JDS doesnt switch levels enough for me either with his hands, and his kicks are none existant. But that's probably for the best in this fight

JDS striking for me is VERY overrated. He has heavy hands but that's where it ends. Like you say his kicks are non existent. His boxing also from a purist perspective leave alot to be desired.
Personally i think Cain will control him on the mat for the entire 3 rounds. But JDS has good power in either hands so still very much an even money fight.

Me too, good for a MMA yada yada and all that jazz. BUT it's all in 2's and 3's and he can coast a bit too much behind the jab for me too

I think Cain will time his TD's based on the jab and get him on his back. But having said that Cain's TD game is slightly overrated too. He had trouble with Kongo and only got Brock where he wanted him after Brock's legs had gone

Soooooo many questions to be answered here

Very valid point. In addition Kongo had him badly hurt too although he recovered. And we all know Kongo has the striking ability of a down syndrome child. Personally i think it's quite sad to see two prospects at the top of the UFC heavyweight division.

I believe JDS will win based on all of the above reasons

When has JDS been close to being outsruck? He couldn't be a champion boxer but for MMA there are few who can really stand with him other than Reem, Fedor and Kharitonov.

The point is he's a good striker, but Mirko aside hasnt been tested in the stand up against a striker of any note has he

    Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Carwin got out struck by BJJ specialist Gabe Gonzaga. He just has power, couldnt even deal with a simple jab straight combo from JDS

Nelson got outstruck by BJJ specialist Frank Mir

    Ha,

I like how you use KO wins as your examples to **** on their striking. Not getting caught is part of the striking game, and JDS has been in with some of the heaviest hitters in UFC with no trouble to him, his standup is not overated

Wasted effort. MMA fans are worse than Boxing fans.
