Yes I did, and as I recall, they were both decision wins for JDS. I'm not saying he didn't dominate them - I'm saying if he threw some combinations - He'd have stopped them.
I think Overeem will win the fight It wouldn't surprise me If ends It early this is probably the first legit Striker JDS has fought apart from a shot Cro Cop. In some of JDS's fights he throws a sloppy looking jab to the body I have this vision of him eating a uber knee If he attempts this against Overeem.
you think junior has great boxing????? if reem has great kickboxing then cigano has just above average boxing this is a bad match up for JDS, everyone he has fought has had serious trouble fighting him because of his range, this will not be a problem for overeem, im slightly favouring reem, ko obviously
...or Reem was fighting a chinny striker and JDS was fighting a hard chinned wrestler. Not stepping off against Roy could mean you are on your back. Against Duffee means you ko him.
The Pac hype was nice until he got in the ring with 2 boxers and we realised he has deterioated as a come forward fighter and still has issues with good boxers. Similarly the Werdum fight showed Overeem doesn't have an amazing engine, is scared to go to the floor and his hands/defence are a little overrated. I think JDS has a stronger mind and a better engine. Don't know if that means he'll win but it could be a night for Reem to get exposed.
For MMA? Of course he does. Have you seen any of his fights? He isn't a good technical boxer in pure boxing terms, but if he was that wouldn't be as effective for an MMA heavyweight as his own brand of power boxing is. I don't think you are distinguishing between boxing and boxing for MMA, kickboxing and kickboxing for MMA. Inside the Octagon, JDS is a much better boxer than Overeem, and that's why he's going to punch holes in Overeem. No it isn't, it's a favourable match-up for JDS. Obviously. Overeem has no chin, and Cigano has evil hands. Overeem won't take Cigano down, so they'll fight it out on the feet. Junior has the option of trying to blast him out (dangerous, but he'd be successful), or boxing cautiously but aggressively off the back foot until Reem gases out (won't take long) and then he can do what he likes with him. Either way, Junior via KO for sure. Trust me, Overeem's chin and gastank are much bigger factors in this fight than Cigano's "range".
no never seen him fight, whats his name againpatsch:-( yes i am, inside the octagon reem is a better kickboxer and will knee and kick holes in JDS you seem to be relying a lot on reem's weaknesses here than anything else, if you say its not a bad match up for junior you are talking complete shite or you dont have a clue one or the other, JDS is a striker he is fighting the best striker he has ever fought and a better striker than himself, it is a bad match up again your relating to these weaknesses, who says JDS has a great chin he has never fought a striker that was good enough to test it, his stamina aint all that either
All I can say is, wait and see. Cigano is a much better boxer in MMA than Overeem is, and is going to beat the **** out of him, and then we can come back here and you can see that I was right all along. Sound like a plan? :good
