Also in action on October 24th will be heavyweight Jean-François Bergeron (27-1-0 19 KOs) who is set to step into the ring for the first time since his decision loss last year to WBA champion Nikolay Valuev. Bergeron will face Dominick Guinn (28-6-1, 19 KOs), a former amateur boxing standout in the United States who has fought professionally against some of the biggest names in the division such as James Toney (former World Champion), Serguei Lyakhovich (former World Champion), Monte Barrett and Eddie Chambers. The winner of this fight will be poised to re-enter the World Heavyweight ratings.

I too had high hopes for Guinn. I just don't think he has the heart for the sport anymore. Saw his fight with Robert Hawkins...:verysad

Nah, he just has no desire and goes into a shell when things are not going his way. He is a wasted talent.

All so true sadly. Could have gone a lot further in his career. How old is he now anyway?:huh

I thought Bergeron actually did very well against Valuev.... not an exciting fighter, though. He should be able to beat Guinn comfortably at this point.

I've never seen him. Does he stand a chance at world level if he improves a bit? Or is there too much wrong?

Guinn lost the fire in his belly for a hard battle, he was a very hard rough warrior when he was winning, but when a few losses got dealt to him he kinda stopped believing in himself......

Bergeron has the talent to own the entire HW division. His speed/power combo and his natural physical attributes are way to much for even the Klitschko borthers. Bergeron is the real deal.
