Jean-Marc Mormeck-Vinny Maddalone TONIGHT

Round 1

Maddalone pressing the action. A decent amount of clinching going on. Mormeck landed good to the body in an early sequence, a big left hook in the middle of the round, and a handful of other decent shots. Vinnie is busier, while Mormeck throws less and lands cleaner.

 

Round two


Maddalone comes out pressing the action again, Mormeck fighting with his back against
the ropes. Maddalone is cut around left eye. Big uppercut for Mormeck on the inside. Clubbing right hand for Maddalone in the clinch. Maddalone is winging punches like a mad man, but missing a lot. Big body shot by Maddolone to Mormeck's body. Big uppercut and hook for Mormeck partially lands. Big hook lands for Mormeck. Uppercut by Mormeck misses on the inside. Two consecutive rights for Jean-Marc. Good round, but honestly Mormeck looks a bit ragged and gassed already.

 

Round three

Mormeck fighting with his back against the ropes to start the round. Big body shot by Maddalone. A little more clinching in this round. Two big hooks for Mormeck land but Maddalone walks through them. Good 1,2 by Mormeck. Big hook for Jean-Marc. Big uppercut by Jean-Marc. Vinnie is pressing the action, but not effectively. Maddalone warned for holding behind the head and hitting.

 

Round four

Good uppercut and hook to start the round for Mormeck. Uppercut and right hand land for Jean-Marc. Mormeck explodes out a clinch with a decent combination. More clinching. Clubbing right hand by Vinnie. Big lead left for Mormeck. Maddalone still marching forward, while Mormeck tries to box. Left hook for Mormeck.

 

Round 5

Grazing uppercut by Maddolone in close quarters. Maddalone fighting of the ropes, absorbs good body shots. Crowd gets excited, Maddalone smiles and attacks. Big straight right for Mormeck and another...Maddalone walks through them both. Clubbing right by Vinnie. Mormeck is breathing heavily. He keeps spinning Vinnie and then moving to the far side of the ring.

 

Just jumped in...

Mormeck bulling into Mad's chest with his chin tucked down, digging to the body with both hands. When they separate, Maddalone plods forward and JMM looks light and agile on his feet, slipping punches while moving away. Maddalone not doing anything very effective...not doing much of anyting but move straight forward with his hands down, have slow jabs picked off, and throwing his arms out to maul Mormeck when close, only to have Mormeck easily duck under (and sometimes around, and behind) him. Nice uppercut from Mormeck toward end of round (whatever round that was....)

 

Round ?? (second round for IB...)

More of the same pattern. Better infighting and defense from Mormeck. Better wrestling from Maddalone. Maddalone feints a jab and lands two nice right hands before Mormeck gets back into slippery mode, his legs still fresh and not looking very hurt but cetainly wary of staying in the way of any more bombs.

 

Round 6

Mormeck moving a lot to start the round. Not many punches thrown in first 30 seconds. Vinnie trying to cut off the ring, but not doing a good job. Mormeck throws a couple series of flurries that don't seem to to much to stop Vinnie's attack. Jabs land for Vinnie. More clinching, Maddalones fav. punch tonight is the clubbing right hand in the clinch. Big right hand for Vinnie. Mormeck holds on, not sure if he was hurt or not. More clinching to end round.

 

Mormeck looks tired.... hes got his mouth open and seems to be breathing kinda heavy.

 

So those were 5 and 6, apparently.

7th round coming up...

 

Wow, really? Based on what?

 

Damn. All of Mormeck's fight are the same. He gets the early round and then just run out of gas and run away later on. I hope he doesn't get caught by some vicious right because this ain't the cruiserweight !
