With all the great fights being announced this one seems to be flying under the radar a bit (set for early November), which is a shame, I'm personally anticipating this fight as much Kessler vs Calzaghe, perhaps more. I like both fighters, though I'd probably like the younger Haye to win so he has a good springboard into heavyweight. I'm still not sure who's going to win though, Haye isn't going to be as strong or Sharp at Cruiser, compared to the Bonin fight at heavy. I also question the stamina of both fighters, but if it's a war of attrition I see Mormeck winning. If Haye wins he needs to do it early, which will be troublesome since Mormecks defence is tough to penetrate when he goes on the back foot. The edge in chin and experience also goes to Mormeck, Haye has the edge in power, speed and size imo, both guys have very solid skills, Haye outside, Mormeck inside, though Mormeck has an excellent jab when he decides to use it. How do you guys see the fight playing out? (Some nice highlights below if you haven't seen much of either fighter) Jean-Marc Mormeck This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected David Haye This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected [yt]sORAvCv1Yj0[/yt]
I think Mormeck has the better stamina, skills, experience & chin. Besides, I hate Haye....................arrogant *****!
Yes, but he makes awesome highlight videos. [YT]ydpLdFkxeXQ[/YT] Great song choice, and the gunshots are a wonderful touch. :yep
David Haye TKO8 Jean Marc Mormeck I expect this to be an absolute barnburner. I wouldn't be surprised the least bit if Mormeck won.
I think that Haye will be OK at Heavy and I think he is a better fighter than Mormeck. But the weight? He was up at 225 ish and looked CUT last time out, he was 220 at the beginning of the month and had been in training...can he ditch that weight without hurting himself? Not according to himself. He admits he won't be at his best for this fight...and it's hardly a danger-free assignment. Depends if Haye can show at close to his best. Going on what I know I guess i'll have to pick Mormeck.
I'm surprised to see a couple of guys picking Haye late, I thought most of the people tipping Haye to win, would have him doing it by stoppage in the early-mid rounds.
I am also likely to pick Mormeck based on the weight. Best to wait for the weigh in to see what kind of condition Haye is in before comfirming it though.
