Hows he going to do that when Hopkins beats him?

I think that's also part of the reason why the respect and appreciate each other so much.

They've also sparred and trained together quite a bit for a while after their clash.

Their rematch would be incredible....and Frochy has already agreed to come to Pascal's backyard for that one.

I agree man. Two of the best guys out there. Both are a huge asset to the sport. Their first fight was excellent and they should fight again no matter the outcome of the Super Six.

I don't mean to be a dick, just for the sake of being a dick, but I don't understand how someone could put Pascal into the same discussion as Froch. While I have grown to like Froch more, and I respect the fact that he is willing to fight anyone, I'm not an over the top fanboy. I struggle to understand what it is that Pascal has done to merrit being considered anything but a transitional champion. While on paper and in theory I give him due credit for his win over Dawson it's a great win, but to those who watched the fight was it really impressive? It became apparant as the fight went on that IF (granted it's a big IF and an IF he shouldn't be penalized for per se') Dawson had pressed the fight that Pascal was very vulnerable. Personally I felt the fight was more of an indictment of Dawson, than an achievement of Pascal (I mean he won a technical decision), which I understand is a bit unfair to Jean, but that's the reality of it in my opinion. He literally ran at times in the fight to avoid "fighting" Dawson, he rushed in threw a few punches then immediately went back on retreat. I think Dawson is a better fighter and if they fought again, would beat him relatively easily. Again I respect that he's a good dude, and I think the relationship and mutal respect between he and Froch is pretty cool, but to call him a "bad" dude...just can't really call that.

Great Story and two boxers to be proud of , pity that they are not as well known as other guys that do not have their balls.

Absolutely. Froch is fighting every name in the ****ing sport. It's incredible stuff to watch. I was so impressed also by his fight with Abraham because he showed that while he is capable and willing to bang it out (see his fight with Pascal), he is also fully willing to stick a jab and fight disciplined. Very smart who will fight anyone.

He is in a tournament that requires he fights everyone.
Before the super six he fought Pascal who did nothing prior.
This guy is way overhyped and talked about like he is the second coming.

Pascal is gonna get schooled by Hopkins. You can argue Froch lost 2 of his last 3. He lost to Kessler and clearly got a hometown gift vs Dirrell.
he has little power and keeps his hands down.
Respect the guy but no hype on him because he has yet to face Ward or Bute and already lost to Kessler + Dirrell.

    Very good post.

Froch and Pascal are where its at in boxing.

Does anyone remember Pascal visiting Froch before his fight against Dirrell I think it was? Was pretty cool.

What is so great about a guy that has had almost every fight in his hometown of Nottingham and was behind on the score cards to a well shot Jermaine Taylor and lost to Kessler and lost 114-113 at best to Dirrell in his hometown ? He beat AA which was surprising but still did not impress. He is still on my KO candidate list in his next 3 fights.

As if he was forced to join? You do realise, he joined, KNOWING the challenge he was taking up and the level of consistent competition he would be facing, ya? As if him signing up to fight in this thing means nothing.... and out of Dirrell, Taylor, Kessler, and Froch.... which one has remained in the tourny despite having perhaps the hardest of the fights? Thats right, Froch.

And he traveled to america to fight Jermain Taylor, knowing full well a close decision could go to Jermain. Way to leave that one out.

Hopkins is going to school Pascal? Alright, we will see come fight time. Pascal will probably win a UD. Ill bump this eather way, garuntee Pascal isnt 'schooled'.

They were two close fights against two top fighters, and with Dirrell, a fighter that is almost an amalgam of everything that should beat a fighter like Froch. God forbid a fighter has close fights, or *gasp*, losses. Ill be waiting for the fighter that doesnt :good

    And?

Uh ya, he will be facing Ward here shortly.... So because he hasnt faced Ward, he shouldnt recieve any hype for having fought Pascal (win), Abraham (win), Kessler, Dirrell, and Taylor (win). Lol...

Froch deserves all the praise he gets at this point. Nobody is saying hes the best fighter in the world, but hes a warrior who will fight anyone and is a credit to the sport of boxing and is rapidly gaining one of the best resumes in boxing. You respect him, but no hype? His 'hype' is coming FROM the respect..... not for any other reason. He is a clear, clear underdog to win the tourny, and most would probably favor Bute over him. How is being the 3rd ranked super middle... 'hype'

 You're funny. 'Beating AA was suprising, but still did not impress'

Not worth it to discuss it further with you.

Just remember to bump this once Hopkins 'schools' Pascal :good
