There's a number of boxers out there who I just can't criticise. I look at people saying Froch isn't a good boxer, will be beaten by Ward or Bute etc., and I feel they're totally missing the point. Who cares if Froch has a leaky defence and isn't as fast as Leonard? Does it matter that he isn't as smooth as Napoles or as skillful as Arguello? No. He's a warrior. Same for guys like Katsidis, both Marquez brothers, Pacquiao, Cotto. Whilst people like Mayweather may be the face of the sport, warriors like those are listed are the beating heart of the sport we love.

When I read people criticise them, I feel they are missing the point. Just enjoy these fighters, who turn up to put a show on every time and will fight anyone. I find it amazing they have any detractors. Without boxers like these years and years ago, we probably wouldn't be talking about boxing now.

 

IS froch the most underrated boxer???

 

Could be only due to his style ...But I think we have a legend in the making in Froch or an all time great ..Just depends where he ends up at the end of his career ..

I agree 100%, by far the two toughest mother****ers in boxing today and MASSIVE respect to both.

Both Pascal and Froch will fight anyone, anywhere. They don't give a ****. Quite the opposite to say, Bute, who only fights bums in Quebec, and Ward, who at least is prepared to fight top fighters, but only if he can referee them himself, and have them in Oakland

 

After Hopkins ruins Pascal, he can do the same to Frochy.

 

I fear for Froch in a rematch. Froch only walks around at 172, so he's going to much smaller than Pascal. Froch is a man of honour and would fight Pascal regardless, but for the first time I would have to predict a Froch defeat if they met at 175

I'm hoping that after years of the calculated matchmaking of guys like Calzaghe and Mayweather, that the fight-anyone-anywhere attitude of Froch and Pascal is going to dominate the next decade.
