Jean Pascal finally signs with GYM/Interbox

    Top Rank had made Pascal an offer as well. That's one less high profile opponent available for Kovalev on HBO... with Dawson & Stevenson on SHO due to Haymon, Kovalev doesn't have a whole lot of options. Ward ain't done fighting in court.

    As for Pascal, Pascal-Dawson II is coming to a tv near you. Dawson always said he wanted to rematch him.

    I don't think Dawson have much fight left in him after getting KO'ed twice in a row. He's only 31 and he maybe be heading toward Bute-like shot territory.

    The lengths these guys go to avoid Kovalev...

    That fight seem irrelevant to me. Why on earth would we want to see it?:huh

    Pascal - Kovalev, Pascal - Ward, but Pascal Dawson? Dawson is shot. Bute - Pascal 2 would be even better.

    Pascal is likely to fight on Showtime. No Kovalev or Ward option there.

    Dawson was talking of rematching Pascal after he beat BHop. He never really acknowledged that loss.

    Pascal is an irrelevant fighter at LHW.

    It's the Kovalev-Stevenson-Hopkins show.

    Pascal has made improvements since meeting BHOP.
    He is a strong fighter with a good chin and limited boxing ability. This is probably why GBP didn't pick him up.
    Perhaps he'll get a decent trainer and continue improving. This is the only way he'll put himself into real contention.

    Much rather see Froch take on Stevenson after Froch finishes KO'ing Groves.

    Pascal is still relevant as a quality opponent for titlists, as in Duva was REALLY high on Pascal as an opponent when it was confirmed that Stevenson was moving to Showtime.

    Eddie Hearn has ruled out as much, not happening. Look for a YT interview with him the day after Bellew lost to Stevenson.

    I don't see why HBO is now close to GYM (well I do see why it might). It is not establish that GYM's fighter only fight with Showtime. The big guys, are tide with the networks but I don't think GYM is. What the big guys bring (Top Rank and GBP) is steady fights. They have enough quality fighter that they can sign a deal with a network which in it garantee that they will bring several fights to the network (which is also looking for fights).

    GYM can't bring that. They bring one fighter at a time at the table. I don't think GYM is bound with Sowtime. Are they?
