Man, can't believe he was playing with the food all night long last night, and even gassed in the process!

Anyone else think Jean Pascal would've knocked Bute out in 2008-2009, perhaps early-mid rds?

No, he hit Bute with everything and the kitchen sink, but Bute fought so defensively, he was able to absorb the shots.

If anything, Pascal looked better last night than he did yrs ago when he was overtraining to make weight and causing himself to gas.:-(

Yes. Hopkins could have KO'd Bute last night. Hell, even Malignaggi woulda had him on ***** street. I guess the Canadians can now bum Adonis because they dont have any other talent on their team

Both were exposed as B level fighters.I see undercard status in their future unless they can hoodwink the Quebec fan boys into paying to watch them again.
I am sure HBO won't be around them anytime soon. That ship has left the port!

Pascal was never that good. To be honest what made Pascal dangerous was that he was so reckless and unpredictable. the fact that he was more tamed just made him a lesser aggressive fighter with the same crude technique. To be honest, I believe Bute could have beat Pascal should he have let his hands go since the beginning.

Neither tried to make it a fight.
Not going to watch Pascal's next fight but Bute's suspect chin is interesting.

Both guys were bottling it and doing just enough to make a rematch sellable.

I also think he is not elite any more. He looks nothing like he did against Dawson and would lose to elite LHW like Kovalev, Stevenson and Hopkins. Gassing after 5 rounds should not happen at that level.

One of the strangest fights ive seen

Bute was in with a huge puncher, and so fought as he felt he had to. Sadly, Froch seems to have totally ruined him

    Pascal.... wtf. Totally bizarre

And yeah, the cat could have had his mouse gobbled up within the first couple of rounds

Pascal did what he needed to do to win, he knows his stamina is terrible so he fought in short bursts and won

He had a gameplan not to gas even though he eventually did it didnt matter too much
