In the pros, Beterbiev has yet to show any inside game.

Kovalev has the more proven power based on the level his fighting at imo beterbiev is completely overrated based on knocking out a shot former champion that was never that good apart from that win his resume is really poor

Hes strong as I've seen at 175, he would be able to nullify Wards mauling !

Strenght is not the key. Ask Kessler, Froch or Kovalev.
I have yet to see any inside game from Beterbiev. Not saying that he doesnt have any, but that i have nothing to judge him by.

If you have ever boxed or wrestled, you know that strenght alone will not cut it.

Beterbiev does not have inside game? Look at his last fight from 2016 when he savaged his opponent from the clinch.

Kovalev is one of the hardest if not the hardest puncher in boxing. He crushed Pascal who is one hell of a tough guy. He doesn't even look like he is punching hard. Beterbiev is probably right behind him, but has much better defense than Kovalev. He just looks like a smarter fighter. His big problems are going to be age and inactivity. He should have put the pedal down against that German guy last fight. In 4 1/2 years he has fought very few rounds. A world-class boxer can extend his peak to about 35 then it starts going south.

Bivol is a excellent PROSPECT. I would doubt his manager would take a fight with either one of those guys.

I guarantee you Beterbiev is far thicker and stronger than Froch and Kessler. It jumps out at me that hes manhandling you if you try that wrestling/clinch game. Agreed it wont cut it alone, but if they have skills, power/core strength, its a game changer, it can demoralise fighters if they are trying to implement a physical fight

Beterbiev is stronger than most if not all CW's. He grew up wrestling in an area of Southern Russia where the sport is like religion and this gave him an excellent base for transferring over to boxing. Most people have zero concept of what constitutes strength or who it is applied

He rips away Ward's game up close and breaks him down imo..I also see an uppercut from Beterbiev sorting out his droopy eye lid problem, and either shutting them permanently or shocking them wide open like they should be!

Give me one fight where he showed that type of inside fighting.
So far all you are saying is that hes strong and thats why he will win.

You know Ward likes to wrestle up close and maul yeah ?? Well try that against a fighter stronger than you and more used to wrestling and using body strength. Lennox Lewis for example, he was not noted for his inside work(bar his sneaky lethal uppercut in clinches), but try wrestling him up close and your getting rag dolled. It just doesn't work against physically strong fighters or stronger fighters, and that's what Beterbiev is. Hed sap Wards strength !

As someone who did Judo for 7 years and wrestled for a while, i call BS. Ward knows what hes doing on the inside and that trumps power.
Now if Beterbiev had similar inside capabilities, he would have a serious edge. But again, show me one fight where he showed any.

Ismail Sillakh hasn't tasted Bivol's power, but he certainly tested Kovalev's and Betterbiev's

Both knocked him out cold in 2, hard to rank them based on destroying Sillakh's chin
