    Here is the translation (By ME :good );

    Radio-Canada received information that Jean Pascal is to fight Carl Froch for the WBC belt vacated by Joe Calzaghe.

    The news will be confirmed on Friday via a press conference.

    Froch (23-0, 19 KOs) is Ranked #1 by the WBC.

    On Monday, Pascal, ranked #4 by the WBC, had rejected the an offer to fight Karoly Balzsay for the WBO interim title.

    Pascal...this might actually be a good fight!

    Both have no business fighting for a title at this point in there careers though. Whom ever wins will be the weakest champ in the division.

    I think Froch will KO Pascal although I would love for Jean Pascal to win the WBC so that they could make a historic fight in Montreal to unify belts with Lucian Bute !

    True, but when 3 belts end up being available within 6 months, some of that is going to happen. Were there really a lot of more deserving fighters, outside of Bika maybe (if we're not considering people who turned down a title, are already booked for one or have recently gotten knocked out)?

    No shame in that (I'm assuming the you mean Calzaghe, Kessler and Bute).

    A pity that Pascal vs Balzsay didnt come off! I was looking forward to their encounter.
