Lemieux is in the co-feature, although this match-up is better.

    Politics.

Lemieux is a Quebecois star and Alvarez is an outsider.

    Round 1

Stiff jabs by Alvarez. McIntosh is blocking high and looking to wade in absorbing what he can until he can cut loose. Alvarez is catching him with the right hand at a distance. Nice jabs by Alvarez. McIntosh has his head snapped back by the right hand coming forward. McIntosh tries a 1-2, slow and meandering over Alvarez's shoulder.

    10-9 Alvarez

    10-9 Alvarez.

I think we all know Alvarez will flatten him soon. Too open.

as much as i will be on mcintosh's 'side' tonight. mcintosh has awful defence has not great power. just has a sort of determination and confidence to think that he is a boxer.

I don't see how this fight could be much better than the Lemieux fight. Both great mismatches, main event being the worst.

Truly pathetic card on show here.

Alvarez more aggressive than he was the last time I saw him (against Rayco Sanders). Punching harder, too.

    Round 2

McIntosh is throwing wide hooks on the way in. Counter rights by Alvarez, keeping a firm and steady coiled stance with his elbows tucked in and fists rolling at his chest. Big right hands by McIntosh, too slow, getting countered. Alvarez is just timing him every time he opens up. They scrap together and both miss several shots in a messy exchange coming face to face. McIntosh mugs at him. Big right by Alvarez. McIntosh slides back out of the way of McIntosh's probing jab and extends his own. Slapping right up high by Alvarez. McIntosh is knocked slightly off-balance. Wild haymaker by McIntosh, spinning a quarter turn. Alvarez carries his left low and jabs the body. McIntosh puts out a slow jab and Alvarez easily dodges it.

    10-9 Alvarez

    20-18 Alvarez

Why bother against Rayco, though? Dude is the king of strategic negativity.

His philosophy is "don't hit (much) but also don't get hit (much)".
