Jean Pascal vs. Aleksy Kuziemski RBR

He's actually fairly tough, especially mentally, but I do suspect the Polish glass won't be withstanding Pascal's brute strength here.

 

Round 1

Kuziemski creeps in, arms wide, waving a few hook feints out in the air. Pascal circles lightly, moving in and out, jabbing. Kuziemski is fishing with jabs and rights to the body, leaning forward. Pascal crosses his left forearm across his waistband to catch the straight torpedoes from Kuziemski. Pascal isn't throwing much back. A few jabs while circling. Kuziemski badly misses a left uppercut while stepping around Pascal to the left. Sloppy 1-2 by Kuziemski. Pascal doing a shoulder roll. Counter right by Pascal. Another one. Kuziemski is backed off. Leaping left hook by Pascal (it was only a matter of time). Kuziemski doubles a right hand lunging in, and Pascal slips it leaning against the ropes.

Lots of people might give Kuziemski the 1st based on "activity" and aggression (the commentators did, for instance) - but it was ineffective aggression IMO.

Pascal almost did too little to nick it, but his quality of work was vastly superior in the little he put in.

 

Round 2

Kuziemski is pushing out the jab and trying to catch Pascal with the cross before he moves his head. Kuziemski keeps pouring on the 1-2 as Pascal circles and lets shots travel up his slanted left bicep. Lead right by Pascal misses. Kuziemski leads with a right to the body and then flurries up top with hooks as Pascal covers up. Nice right hand by Kuziemski, rocking Pascal a bit. 1-2 to the mouth by Kuziemski. Pascal tries to counter with a right, punching with Kuziemski, but doesn't quite pull the trigger in time and gets backed up by the shot. BIG left hook by Kuziemski, causing Pascal to dip at the knees slightly. Right hand by Pascal. Combo by Kuziemski.
