Carrasquillo is circling to his right now, looking weary. Bizier comes slashing in with the 1-2 and pumps in a few hooks to the body as Carrasquillo is peeling away. Bizier walks him to the ropes and bangs a straight right lead into his guard, knocking him against the ropes. Carrasquillo blocks a few more lead rights while moonwalking. Bizier sticks the jab out into Carrasquillo's cauliflowered nose, and then wings a right hand around the side as Carrasquillo flinches back. Carrasquillo clinches. Bizier comes gliding in with a left upper-hook lead, missing. Carrasquillo is in no mood to counter, however. Survival mode. Flee, block, tie up. Jabs to the body by Bizier. Carrasquillo dances around him, frequently changing directions. Quick jabs to the face by Bizier.

Round 5

Body shot knockdown for Bizier!! Carrasquillo takes the knee in a corner. He beats the count. Bizier goes berserk on him with 1-2's. Carrasquillo kicks his legs side-out into a lateral gallop, flailing his arms again triumphantly as if to show Bizier can't finish him off. Bizier begs to differ!! Jabs and hard rights by Bizier pushing Carrasquillo to the ropes. Carrasquillo curls up and exposes the back of his head, which Bizier drops leather on! Carrasquillo is talking **** in his face, shaking his head and wagging his tongue at him!!! What an obstinate old SOB! Maybe he's trying to get Bizier to punch himself out in anger? Bizier instead goes about his work calmly if prodigiously, jabbing to set up big right hands up top and body shots on the way in. Carrasquillo dances away from Bizier and turns to the crowd, hitting himself in the chin with uppercuts while smirking and shaking his head. Bizier is INFURIATED!! He runs up and blasts Carrasquillo with combos, partially blocked.

Maybe this is Carrasquillo's swansong. Maybe that's why he's acting this way. One last defiant show of bravado to retire on, taking pride in going the distance as he's done so often.

Based on how easily he's getting handled, and his age, it probably is time to call it a day anyway.

Hopefully those 40 modest purses were enough to walk away.

 

Round 6

Carrasquillo is on stick legs now, scraping them along the mat as he drifts away from Bizier and paws with a jab. Bizier works the 1-2 on the frontfoot, trying to cut off the ring without wasting energy. Big explosive combos when Bizier gets close. Carrasquillo slaps many of the punches aside with open gloves, like a trainer helping a boxer work the pads. Carrasquillo is occasionally dropping anchor and tossing a straight right hand, hoping to skewer an unassuming Bizier on it. Bizier is too alert to fall for it.

Round 7

Carrasquillo is getting trounced, hooks and rights knocking him repeatedly into the ropes. He careens into Bizier to clinch. Bizier walks him into the ropes again and claps a right off his temple. Carrasquillo ties up. Carrasquillo has turned southpaw in a desperate bid to limit Bizier's offensive effectiveness. He's circling either way, jabbing with his right. Lots of movement by the old man. Bizier just patiently steps in along a rook's path, north-south and east-west, slowly but surely cutting off the ring. Carrasquillo is slapped back into the ropes by a left hook to the eyeball. He blinks, in obvious pain and his arms drop for a moment. Bizier isn't quick enough getting to him to capitalize. Bizier keeps leading with hooks to the head and body and Carrasquillo is forced to lean against him and clinch. Bizier misses a lunging lead right as Carrasquillo dances away. Another slapping hook sets Carrasquillo on his heels. Carrasquillo breaks into a jog, raising his arms for the unappreciative crowd.

The crowd is booing, but of course they're all wanting to see Bizier get a knockout. (or they don't give a **** about Kevin and are just impatient to see Pascal )
