    Pascal dances around the outside of the ring to start, not letting Bernard get close. Not much action in the first minute and a half, no real connects. Crowd is chanting "Ole ole" though. Pascal rushes at Bernard, putting him against the ropes for a moment but neither lands. Pascal rushes in again and gets two good body shots, the only action in the round. Enough to win it, sadly.

    Hopkins is rearing to go and the ref has to hold him back before the bell rings, like a pit bull waiting to go off leash. Then Hopkins runs right up and...does nothing. Pascal is circling out to the left. Hopkins is shuffling after him. Hopkins paws with his jab. Hopkins ducks a Pascal jab. Pascal flicks out a right to the body while circling wide and doesn't come close to landing. Hopkins is jabbing up high and making Pascal duck to the side while circling. Pascal is trying to flick out straight shots while leaned over and moving his feet but isn't doing a very good job of it, just flailing his arms out a little. Hopkins blocks a couple of jabs. Pascal rushes in and chops and catches arm. Hopkins is using very little movement, everything purposeful and economical. Pascal is wasting a lot more energy, rushing in and out and hardly landing anything to show for it. Pascal uses some shoulder feints, shimmying on the outside. Nobody is punching. Posing. Pascal rushes in and holds his left up high and throws a short right uppercut to the body.
