Bernard is at his best when fighters come to him and Pascal is not that fighter. Pascal would make Hopkins work hard and Hopkins' legs are probably not up to it. Pascal would probably build an early lead and Hopkins would have a hard time catching up later in the fight because he himself fades late in fights. Pascal by close decision.
Hopkins would come up with something to beat Pascal. It just looks to me like Bernard`s type of fight.Bernard ud.
Age has finally caught up with Hopkins he seriously needs to retire. The orneleas fight was disturbing the way he would take more punches than he used to, I havent seen the jones 2 fight but Jones is beyond shot and from what I read the way Hops struggled with it he needs to retire period.
i cant believe so many people would vote for hopkins! seriously now, who was the last actual lhw he beat? i am thinking it was antonio tarver. im not taking anything away from his victory over pavlik, cos it was great, but you know it werent a lhw fight. he gets no credit for beating dead rjj, calzghe was a jumped up smw. why is hopkins still considered a top class lhw? i just dont see it. hopkins should take on johnson in a rematch perhaps, he wouldnt have enough left to deal with pascal.
I think Hopkins would love a shot at PAscal. Since pascal wasnt suppose to beat Dawson, i think B-HOp might go for him expecting an easy night
Poll results are pretty surprising. I guess a lot of people still believe in "ol' man river". I would love to see this fight happen if Bute/Pascal doesn't get made. It would be a huge win for Hopkins to retire on and a pretty good pay day.
the poll results are ridiculous imo, its been 4 years, count em, 4 years since hopkins beat a top level lhw.
not only that, but if people hate on calzaghe for beating "old" hopkins, what credit would pascal possibly get if he also beat hopkins? lose-lose, boring fight, i dont get why it is even being mentioned on here.
i think even a couple of years ago Hopkins would school Pascal, now though he is just getting to old. Its quite sad really when you see guys who just cannot accept that something is over. Look at poor Frank Bruno, it took a full blown breakdown to bring it home that his career was over.
