Jean Pascal vs. Bernard Hopkins

Pascal already is THE man at 175lbs. He doesn't need to beat Hopkins or Cloud to prove it.

 

Pascal wide, boring UD.

 

And the fact that the fight will be a boring one is because of...

(Everybody looking at B-Hop)

 

I see Hopkins pulling this out using his experience.
B-Hop will do everything he can to make this fight boring as hell, while racking up the pts.

Pascal will be smothered and held more than an infant.
Jean should take birth control before the fight.

 

Pascal SHOULD hammer him but I get the feeling he wins it by a wide UD and has Hopkins down en route.

 

I'm a worried Pascal fan. He's got talented and he's an entertaining fighter, but he's got many weaknesses to exploit... and Hopkins is one of the best weakness exploiter in the business. How will Pascal react when it will turn ugly ? We don't know.

 

Pavlik was a slowplodding coming forward fighter, easy and very predictable for B-Hop.
But I can't see the old master dealing with the fast coming in rushes of the young champion!!

 

I think Hopkins is toast, but if he wins, it wouldn't be the first time I thought he was toast and then pulled a rabbit out of his hat. He really looked like crap his last fight, but how much of that is because he's old and how much of that is because he's always fought down to the level of his opponents?

Pascal by decision, but Hops makes it ugly and takes a few rounds, then claiming he was robbed afterwards.

 

I'm going for Hopkins via KO. Why? I have no idea, I just want to believe B-Hop is going to finally score a KO for the first time in 6 years.

 

I just see Hopkins as too cagey to predict a KO against him. Guy's fundamentally sound skillset will once again help him at least look GOOD against another youth. I also think Hopkins has very little chance of getting a KO, he's not as hungry in the ring as before(Jones Hopkins II was really awful). I expect Pascal to use his speed to avoid significant damage as usual, and probably outscore Hopkins seeing as how it's in montreal. It's a shame really, i don't think he'd have a chance against the guy even 4 years back.

Lame fight. But it'll be good for Pascal's career, he's fighting a name and he'll no doubt get great experience.

 

Pascal showed vulnerability???:huh His chin, you mean? He took the bombs of Froch, Diaconu x2 and that huge uppercut from Dawson and stayed on his feet. He's never been down in the pro or in the amateurs and has AT LEAST a granite chin in my opinion.

He may even have a better chin than Froch (remember the middleweight Taylor was able to floor him). Hell, 95% of boxers today wouldn't have survived to the blows he received against Pittman!

I think he'll be the first to stop B-Hop, who'll be totally exausted at the end. It will be competitive at the beginning but I expect Jean to Knock him out around the 12th rd.:bbb
