This. But, to Bivol's credit he didn't lowball Barrera and made the fight happen and gained valuable experience with Chilemba, so I think he's earned a stay busy fight. As long as he fights a top 10 fighter next or has a unification I have no complaints. Beterbiev on the other hand I've pretty much given up on. Beterbiev would have to fight in a unification or Badu Jack for me to have any interest.
That hockey player also was an UFC fighter. Fighting against a former world champion showed his limitations.
Was hoping Pascal would stay at CW and look to go the novelty route. Something like Fonfara.... He's past it and will probably get hurt here. Not a good fight for Bivol.... Just a faded name on his record.
Tbf. a guy much bigger than him and I felt watching it that Pascal allowed it go on longer than it needed to for entertainment reasons. Bosse was knocking guys out cold as a LHW in the UFC.
Yes you're right, and I have no problem with Bosse, he is definitely a man for taking on that challenge and taking those shots. The fight was funny though because Bosse landed everything he had on Pascal and could not make him back up 3 inches.
Why would Bivol fight a shopworn journeyman at this juncture? Hopefully whatever Network he's on declines to air it.
lol Journeymen. Former legit champion of the division. Kovalevs best win was vs Pascal and that's a damn good win. sure Pascal is past it but he wasn't a journeyman he was a the ring champion of the division.
Bivol wins but doesn't ko Pascal as fast as Kovalev I bet. Pascal lost to Alvarez (don't let the cards fool you it was in Quebec where Pascal is one of the most famous people it was 9-3 Alvarez) Pascal lost to Kovalev twice and it was what made Kovalev look really good knocking out the former division champion twice. Pascal lost to 2011 Hopkins when Hopkins could still go. Pascal lost to Froch in a 116-112 kind of fight. I think Pascal still has something left in the tank and how good is Bivol really? I honestly think this is a step up from Chilemba.
Easy style win for Bivol. Plus Pascal is at the end of the road... I just hope it all builds to a LHW unification with them all fairly soon ..
Don't even sit there and try to claim this version of Pascal is anything more than a journeyman. What is he? 2-3 in his last few fights with his last win being over an mma fighter.
Pascal is absolutely shot. I hate fights like this. Waste of time and the old dude is likely to get ****ed up.
