Pascal's defeat was more of a lesson, not a beat down stoppage. I think Pascal is in a better position mentally after his loss, than Bute is after his stoppage loss.

this is actually a very easy fight to break down....

pascal can box, but is a better athlete than boxer...but does NOT have ko power, so even though bute gets shaky legs after getting rocked, pascal will not be able to ko him...also pascal only fights for the first 6 rounds or so, and usually the last minute is where he tries to win the round...

bute has better boxing skills, better powr at 168, dont know how that will transfer to 175, but it makes no difference, pascal has an iron chin and i dont even see him getting ko vs kovalev..

pascal will last the 12 rounds, and i see it a close fight for the first 6-7 rounds and after than bute just beating him to the punch

i think after this fight pascal should face kovalev, that would be a great fight that would make kovalev do 12 rounds...

    Bute somewhat close UD, 8-4.

Pascal wins 4 rounds in the first half of the fight based on pure aggression and volume (more volume than in the Hopkins fights), then gasses and gets outlanded by Bute for the rest of the fight.

Larouche is preparing Bute to move a lot in the first half of the fight, stamina will be key. Wide looping shots from Pascal will miss... the 12th round of the Grachev fight is what Bute wants to be like for this fight, except his output will be low in the first half. Then he just takes it to Pascal and overwhelms him with accurate shots.

OF COURSE a Pascal stoppage over Bute is possible. I'm just thinking that Larouche is too smart not to prepare Bute according to what happened vs Froch... and Ramsay is not a genius, far from that actually.

If Pascal can drop Hopkins, then he definitely has the type of power to drop Bute, and Bute doesn't seem to have good recuperative powers.

    Pascal by mid round KO.

Would you like to back me? In my wager against Robney? Be my bankroll?

I'll go with the guy who dropped Hopkins to KO the guy who got crushed by Froch and Andrade.

Pascal's KO ratio does not indicate he's a power punching beast, like you say. In fact, Pascal has never KO'd a good opponent.

BUT, I wonder myself if Bute is ruined or not, physically and psychologically. His mental may be in a better shape, the long rest can have helped his brain to heal, but…

I voted Bute by KO because I'm a fan (let's be honest) and because Pascal is vulnerable to the body, Hopkins shown that in their first fight. When old Bernard went to the body, the momentum changed dramatically. Bute's left hand is now completely healed and his body shots will be at their best.

Froch showed how to beat Bute but I doubt Pascal has the same weapons. First, Bute can punch at 100% with his left hand and Pascal has not the ability to receive bombs and still go forward. He never showed that so far. If Pascal begins the fight by swinging wild punches, he could receive a couple of body shots that will slow him down pretty fast. If he touches Bute early though, the fast could end early.

    Pascal stops him

Bute looked scared against Grachev, Pascal is so wild I think he jumps on Bute and bullies him

I also think Pascal will go all out in the first 3-4 rounds to try and stop Bute early. All he need is to land one big punch for Bute to panic and forget his game plan.

I believe Bute is the better fighter but Pascal his mentally much stronger.

I'm a Bute fan but I think Pascal will win by early stoppage.

Pascal's work rate is going to play against him.

Bute is AWFUL against pressure fighters with high work rates. But when he's got time to think...

    Liver shot baby.

    Bute KO4, legit vs Andrade.

WTF are you on about.....that Marlon Wirght ordeal where Bute gassed after beating Andrade to near death for 11 rds before Andrade finally got Bute to fall before rising in 7.5 seconds.:huh:huh:huh

If Andrade would have gone to the nuetral corner, the count could have started and if Wright knows how to count, he'd been close to 8, 3-4 seconds after the bell rang and seen Bute rise on his won power and the bell wouldve sounded.

The fight was OVER. Get over it.:nono

I'm rooting for Bute. Most probably Pascal will jump @ Bute starting to the first round and try to take him out. It will be interesting to see how Bute will handle Pascal's pressure.

Hope the fight is not crooked. :)

Bute trained in the Pyrénées mountains, in Europe. He did some wrestling against big guys to prepare for Pascal, who is very strong. I agree that Pascal is mentally stronger than Bute. My hopes rely on the end of the Grachev fight. Bute did let his hands go in the 12th round and seemed relieved by the end of the fight. As Maxime says though, one big punch can put Bute back in his Froch mode and that's not good.
