Mikael Zewski weighs in at 147.6lbs, also over, and seems to not care, grinning at the photographers.
Szot looks to just be here for a payday, looking almost glum. Zewski has that glow of a rising undefeated prospect. This content is protected
It should be a good fight with their contrasting styles and so much on the line. Pascal is taking it as personally as he possibly can and he is desperate to win over Bute's fans. Bute however knows that a loss would almost certainly spell THE END.
Oscar "Kaboom" Rivas - stellar amateur - is on the right. Shawn Cox - best remembered for a promising start in his challenge of Denis Lebedev before ultimately getting smashed - is on the left. This content is protected This content is protected
I think you misread it. Pascal was pretty cool when you consider the very hostile crowd, he never uttered a word even before taping his mouth andjust let his intensity (not emotion, but competitive intensity ) shine through in his eyes. Bute on the other hand looked very timid and chuckled nervously at Pascal's antics including the mouth taping and joining in the chant. He was also quick to leave. Physically their appearance matched their outward demeanor. Pascal is ripped and obviously trained very hard for this. Bute does look a bit soft and seemed a bit distant.
Yves Ulysse Jr. - who currently makes up half the Interbox stable along with Bute - makes his pro debut tomorrow in a light welterweight 4-rounder with Vango Tsirimokos of Belgium. This content is protected This content is protected
Rivas had a bad injury to one of his eyes. A while ago they even announced his retirement. Glad he recovered. Takam is a very big but not chubby at all guy. He has a 25 pounds advantage on Perez. This fight is pretty interesting too.
Not the way I read it... The way I see it, both Pascal and Bute looked/acted the way they always do. Pascal has always looked super-ripped. He always trains hard for big fights. Bute, I am glad to see, hasn't put on too much muscle - hopefully he has trained for speed/endurance (stick and move for 12) rather than the show-reel KO punch.
You missed the part where Bute was smiling. Probably not on TV. Bute looked as usual. Pascal is highly motivating himself. He should begin strong tomorrow.
Pascal is gonna explode tomorrow. Hopefully Bute will handle his explosion(s) even if he gets knocked down, I hope he's strong enough for this sort of situation to get back up and continue. I really hope Pascal gasses... But I have a feeling he worked extremely hard on his cardio and he'll be in top shape!
BTW, Pascal was not joining the "bute" chant, he was trying to convince people to chant his name (without much success). He was saying "pascal, pascal, pascal", not "bute".
