Round 1

Butler is whipping Chaïbi across the ring with heavy looping rights. Chaïbi is backing up and flicking a weak right jab up at Butler's chin. Chaïbi sinks back into the ropes and Butler wails on him with left hooks and clubbing rights. Chaïbi slaps with a right hook and hurls an overhand left while getting knocked across the ring into the opposite ropes. Big windmilled left behind a pawing double right jab by Chaïbi, briefly coming forward. Another throwaway double southpaw jab into the guard by Chaïbi, windmilling another left and missing, countered by a straight right between the eyes as he dips in with his face stopping near Butler's waist. Butler raises his right fist to his cheek and lets a few Chaïbi jabs bounce off it. HUGE flurry by Butler as Chaïbi flops onto the ropes.

When the ref got between them I thought he was stopping it but really it was just because he realized Butler didn't hear the bell to end the 1st.

He could have stopped it. Chaïbi was just about done.

Round 2

Chaïbi is backing up and pawing right jabs at Butler from a perpendicular guard, creeping around him counterclockwise. Butler is toying with him, stalking, dropping his gloves, then swooping in with a 1-2 or heavy single right hand lead. Chaïbi is scrambling away low or intentionally missing a high left hand past Butler's head and tying up. Chaïbi skips into the ropes and ducks a big right hand, then ensnares Butler's arm in his own. Heavy clubbing rights on the neck by Butler while Chaïbi is tying to clinch again.

Holy ****. Butler is 8-0 (7) and debuted this year.

This is his ninth fight in as many months.

 

Round 3

Chaïbi is throwing right jabs up into the air, clasping both arms around Butler's back, and then firing wild point blank uppercuts when they push apart. Looping left by Chaïbi connects on the button. Butler is ducking in the pocket and holding on himself now. Right hand lead by Butler backs Chaïbi up. Another right, followed by a stiff jab as Chaïbi lays on the ropes. 1-2 by Butler. Chaïbi dances away, then flurries high. Butler ducks and Chaïbi lashes his arms down across his back.

10-9 Butler, closer though, had to steal it back late.
