Jean Pascal vs. Tavoris Cloud

Cloud did remind me a lil bit of jeff lacy in that fight but he showed a good chin and he is relentless but his pressure would wear down pascal and cloud would win by ko pascal got worn down by froch and cloud is a superior boxer to froch

 

That would be a good fight. I can see Pascal winning a close but clear-cut decision in a fight that would have several momentum shifts.

 

This would be a great fight and should be made next year. Pascal would be too much for Cloud who is simply too easy to hit. I see Pascal taking this by UD in an exciting fight.

Honestly, give Cloud some time. This kid has some serious tools...I just dont think he is quite ready for Pascal yet, whom I think is much more suited for LHW than he ever was for SMW.

Right now, Pascal UD. Down the road???? Who knows...

 

Rightn now, I say Pascal by tko.

 

Cloud TKO. I like Pascal, but I think he gets caught with something big. Cloud is much quicker than Diaconu with his punches.

 

Cloud by decision. The judges would favor his workrate and aggressiveness.

 

Pascal's the clear choice for me as of now. Too much speed and mobility for Cloud, who I think would get shellshocked at the difference in speed between a prime, fast LHW and the old versions of Gonzalez and Woods he's fought. Pascal's tested against the better competition as well.

That said, Cloud's still got some upside left on the table (as does Pascal) but he's got to a) fight more often and b) not be complacent with his title and actively want to refine his game. Luckily, we'll be able to find out relatively soon how serious he is about wanting to improve.

 

Bad stylistic matchup for Cloud. Pascal would give Cloud all sorts of Angles and hit Cloud at will.

 

Cloud isn't that big of a puncher as some people think, if anything Cloud's power is overrated. Pascal has a really good chin, he got rocked with hard shots by Froch and Diaconu, who hits just as hard as Cloud. No way Cloud knocks out Pascal.

 

Due to Pascal' lack of defense I'd say this fight has as much fire works as the Diaconu fight .I'd say Pascal by UD Cloud didn't impress me against Woods all that much .
