This Morning (20 min. ago), Jean Pascal & his promoter, Yvon Michel, was at CKAC for an hour and talked about his fight.

Yvon Michel mentionned that this week, he's going to NY negociating the next fight for Pascal. They have 3 names: Dawson, Cloud or Tarver.

Plus, the doctor who checked Pascal at the hospital, told that he doesn't understand how he could fight with the pain. Normally people are begging for morphine!! The more important, he said that Pascal's career won't be compromise from this!

Froch's win is looking all that more impressive.

I'd love to see a rematch in which Pascal wins of course.

I guess I'm in the minority who thought the second fight was closer than the first.

Perhaps, but if Pascal had not been injured, Diaconu would have lost by KO. Diaconu got rocked in the 3rd and 4th round.

I think at this point in his career Pascal is a much better fighter then he was when he met Froch. I think the Pascal that fought last night would knock Froch Silly. That being said we haven't seen Pascal in with a good boxer who can control a fight with a jab. It would be interesting to see if he's learned how to deal with that particular wrinkle in Froch's game.

I don't think he would have been KO'd but would have lost a shutout.

Eh. Diaconu was made for Pascal. He'd be wise to go after Cloud of the three who were mentioned. I think he'd struggle with a long outside boxer. He even struggled for big chunks against Branco, just the scores looked lopsided because he kept knocking down Branco when Branco tried to mix it up at the end of the round.

I want the next fight to be with Dawson. Cloud is unproven and needs to prove he deserves a shot. Tarver is about to retire and he's already got a job lined up as a Showtime announcer.

Lets see how Dawson handles a fighter with speed and power and a great chin.
