June 6th at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. WBA light heavyweight title (regular) on the line, 1st defense of Pascal. The actual main event (in terms of real sanctioned non-exhibition pro boxing matches) on the Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul card on Showtime PPV.

Since their first meeting eighteen months earlier, the Haitian-Québécois remained dormant while the Gambian-Swede took a tuneup moving up to cruiser to beat previously undefeated Sacramento native Blake Anthony "The Beast" McKernan via UD in an 8-rounder. Jack is now WBA #11. The current "Super" champion, Dmitry Bivol, has made two consecutive defenses over non-ranked opposition (Gilbert Lenín Castillo & Craig Richards) and so is probably due to face a live body, especially if the WBA orders a unification with the Pascal vs. Jack II winner...

I had no idea until just now that Pascal had finally, after 15 years in the pros, selected a nickname for himself (commissioning promotional artwork of himself with "Jean 'The Executioner' Pascal" appended to it and posting it on his Instagram). Presumably he adopted it from his old rival Bernard Hopkins (with the Philly legend having shed that moniker between the Cloud & Murat fights in favor of "The Alien" for the rest of his career) - although whether done with or without Hopkins' blessing I have no idea.

Man, just like Prograis vs. Redkach only got 1% as much hype as Jake Paul vs. Ben Askren despite being the biggest REAL fight on that card, ain't jack**** being said about this one...meanwhile the Floyd vs. Logan circus will probably get fifty threads devoted to it and necessitate a merge dump. :shakehead:

Its a good fight but its not much to say about it.
Both guys are on their way out and will not be competing in the futire.
Just hope they rob Triller of as much money possible and get out healthy.
For the record I like Pascal.Actually...nah.

I'm going with Jack on points. Felt like he won the first fight and Pascal hasn't fought since then which will certainly be a big detriment for him in the rematch.

Also seems like they now have bad blood after looking at their social medias.

I thought he went by the nom de guerre of “blackBoa”?

or have I looked into something that wasn’t there?

If I’m wrong I still thought it was a great and apt nickname :boxing1

Badou in points in a good, fan friendly fight.

As much of a Pascal fan as I am (not much better coming out of Canada in the past decade) I have to go with Jack in this one. He'll be too sharp especially since he's already had a look at Pascal. If I'm wrong I won't be disappointed, I like both fighters.

Yeah, he was calling himself that around the Jack fight, probably after his victory over Browne, like Rocky, mounting a late career comeback.

I picked Jean the first time, and thought he won it fair and square. I'm picking him by stoppage this time. I think he'll pace himself better, be extra awkward early, then pour on teh pressure late. It's a small but manageable adjustment. Yes, Jean is old, shot and past it, but so is Jack at this point.

I enjoyed the 1st fight, think it was intriguing.

I do think the cut was a major factor in how it played out.

Don't know how Jack didn't just fold, he is a true warrior.

I predict Jack wins part 2 in a competitive but decisive decision.

    What are our predictions?

Predicting and hoping Jack because he still has some tread on his tires. Although Jack doesn't appear to be as good as I hoped initially, both may be close to the end of the line on their primes.
