In a 15 rounder, could Johnny outhustle Jeff, or would Jeff outbox Johnny?

Great match up! Tapia based on extreme energy would probably hold a lead after twelve. But Chandler's great boxing skills would come out in the "true Championship Rounds" 13 - 15. Candler by UD15.

Jeff wins a close 15 round decision over Johnny, a very good scrap while it lasts.

    2007 Thinblack ?

    Whatever....this is a great matchup......
Both were good jabbers (Tapia´s jab was a bit better perhaps :think), and great body punchers.....both fast and with high workrate! Damn, what a hard fight too pick a winner.....
But I pick Chandler because he was the better BW.......Close UD.....

Chandler by clear decision. His jab and range would pose a lot of problems for Tapia.

Chandler is neigh unbeatable at this weight! Few if any could beat him! Most underrated fighter on this forum along with Eubank and Hatton

Joltin’ Jeff for the win here. I think he walks away with it in rounds 11-15 after it’s about even through 10.

I agree entirely about Eubanks. I think he was a great.
Chandler beats the devil by dec.

In all seriousness, you would really favor Chandler over Jofre and Olivares?

Phillyphan is biased. He has a gif of Jeff Chandler on his profile page.

    Chandler would overpower Tapia, though.

Yeah, I got a slight Chandler bias as far as H2H goes ( I assume most of us have a few), but I am fairly reasonable (IMO) in ranking guys and such....I was not 6-10 years ago but am old enough that it does not hurt me if my favorite does not win or is not the best. Shoot my favorite boxers are Willie Monroe and Bobby Boogaloo Watts.

Nah, bro everyone has thier limits! But he would school Zarate and Pintor, so I will enjoy Christmas and rest easy in that knowldge!

Merry Christmas guys, I enjoy reading and responding to both of your posts!

Chandler-Pintor is basically 50-50 for me, but if forced to choose I would favor Jeff slightly.

Zarate would have knocked Chandler out.

    Bump.
Chandler controls the fight after a few exciting rounds with the help of his height and skills.
