Nelson was awful in that fight, he even admitted that, but this is pointless as he smashed Fenech in the rematch.

Nelson had a history of doing that against opponents he did'nt feel were at his level.
He would'nt dedicate himself 100% in training and it would show in the fight, but when the rematch would come Nelson would destroy that same opponent.
It happened against Azabache Martinez, against Jeff Fenech, Gabe Ruelas, and Jesse James Leija.
Nelson would won all of those 2nd matches by way of dominant KO's.

 

Fenech did get robbed in that fight

But that was just one of many WBC robberies.

Its a nice gesture but the WBC corruption should not be forgotten.

Nelson was a Don King fighter

Good points. This will just make everyone remember how corrupt the WBC was. There were so many WBC and WBA robberies. Acknowledge all or none at all.
