    Boxrec encylopaedia says:

Fenech outworked the much slower but much stronger Azumah Nelson over 10 rounds Nelson temporarily stunned in round 5 Fenech was hurt in round 9 and ran the last 2 rounds knowing he had the fight won

Azumah Nelson at age 154 still had people running from him amazing.
Nelson is the man, No prop's to Fenech for this.

Reports say it was boring and they looked very old... 96-94, 96-94, 95-95 were the scores in favor of Fenech.

they were both mean as hell in their primes. nelson a great, it's a pity that chavez didn't box him at superlightweight; that would've been fireworks. they must both keep themselves in good shape to go 10 at their ages and fenech ought to get some respect. he's not much younger than nelson, been inactive a long time and nelson kicked his arse the last time they met. i bet anyone who takes either nelsons or fenechs daughters out gets them home on time. 2 tough old geezers.;)

I am a little amused that the big promotion for this bout was "SOMEBODY'S GETTING KNOCKED OUT!"...and it goes to points.

Sounds like Fenech realised that someone might be him and played it safe for the last two rounds, heh.

read that some of the tickets cost over $2k. there must be some strange fans over there if they're willing to shell out even $10 to watch that fight. wasn't fenech doing "smash and grabs" at the local jewelry store a couple of years back. well, looks like he's still robbing people.

Good. That end's the injustice of the first bout...

They now have 1 win each which is how it should be.

I admit Azumah clearly lost by UD to Pernell. He took the later rounds but was outboxed in the first 8.
I admit he was lucky to receive a draw against Fenech the 1st time (he still sufferd from malaria which you can see in his volume punches but he did step into the ring so no excuses)
But he was very green when he gave Sanchez hell and he was both a puncher and a boxer,a very special combination.
He's not overrated,i would have love to see him fight Oscar at 130.I believe he still was the wbc champ when Oscar became wbo champ at 130.
A bit past his prime Azumah versus a very green Oscar, fascinating.

    Joke.:good

Nelson would've smashed a green Oscar at 130. Nelson lost 118-110 to Pea on my card, the fight was a masterclass, Pea's best performance probably. But again, my post was in jest, Nelson was a fantastic fighter.

    Boring as hell fight.
To be honest Fenech was lucky to get the decision.
