With all the promotion surrounding this fight it only cemented to a lot of people what a complete wanker fenech has turned into. Fancy running like a cat when you've been shootin' ya mouth off about wanting a KO for weeks. The crowd was booing him, Azumah should of just stopped in the middle of the ring and sat down & waited till ol jeff decided to stop & fight. Fenechs a shell of his former self, just an egotistical wanker!!

The reason Fenech di the fight was mostly im pretty sure 75% was going to Charity.

So it wasnt about both of them being hard up for money.

    It was for the Kids.

Me i feel it was a boring fight but hey both guys were as old as my mother and im 30.
For guys that old they did a great thing by doing it for a great cause.

    Its that simple.

i agree, i also think that fenech is just as great a fighter as nelson winning 3 world titles in 3 weight divisions (deservedly 4)in only 25 fights.

the fight wasnt as bad as some are saying.. it wasnt exactly gatti/ward but what the hell do people expect!! there was a bit of action here and there and they were definately throwing them with bad intentions.. NO ONE WAS TALKING WORLD TITLES HERE!! at an age when most people are curled up with their slippers and a cup of tea they got in there and had a crack made some money for charity and good on them! its more than 99% of the rest of us are doing... in fact they looked in better shape than 99% of us..

I agree. There's no way he could have fought after having contracted the disease. It leaves you feeling **** weak for months afterward. Someone I know got it in Tanzania and he was out of it for quite a while.

I must say these guys are in fantastic condition. It makes me feel embarrased!
