His best peformance was against Callejas. He didnt give him a chance to breathe in that fight.

Agreed, and many haven't seen it. Callejas was favourite and had recently built a LOT of expert support. VERY highly regarded and many thought he was on the verge of great things.

Callejas' main claim to fame was his one punch KO of Loris Stecca. According to the writeups he lifted Stecca off the canvas with one punch. Hmmm I'd believe that like I believe Foreman lifted Frazier off the canvas with a punch :bart

As for Fenech, in hindsight he was a bit of a frontrunner. When things weren't going his way he started to lose the plot (see Zarate, Nelson)

Airborne yes, but that'd be from the scrambled messages coming from his brain to his legs. It's not a result of the force of the punch. Same as Foreman - Frazier

    Whatever.

It was a brutal shot any way you look at it.Hard enough to break Stecca's jaw and scramble his brain at the same time.

The flipside is no-one was good enough to lead him, for years. He outstripped many a fine fighter from the word go. Coffee actually offered excellent resistance and Fenech wore him down. He won the Zarate fight and beat Nelson handily in their initial encounter.
