Jeff Fenech V Barry McGuigan

French the mauler would be too much for Barry to handle imo, stoppage mid to late rounds.

Loved the Irish slogan "leave the fighting to Barry" during their disputes. My dad tells me he was a hero in his day. I sadly missed too many big names and fights, today's boxing is ****ed

 

Would be competitive throughout but I'd give Fenech the big edge.

These two are gonna' fight and Fenech was the flat out better fighter. His hands were terrible at featherweight, so over 12 he'll have to change his tactics up late you'd imagine. Over 15 he's gonna' be in serious pain.

Fenech via decision in a brilliant fight.

 

Brutal fight, but I think Fenech overwhelms Barry in the end. Fenech late TKO.

McGuigan was a great fighter and a career featherweight. He stopped most he met and only got stopped once himself.

Fenech, though slightly taller than McGuigan, fought half his career at bantamweight. Fenech as we know was all over his opponents and beat them by attrition.

A super matchup between two of the greats. Heart says Fenech. Head says don't know.

Barry would test his whiskers when Fenech tries to bully him, can he land properly? and if so, can fenech's whiskers take it?

the big McGuigan let down was he never took the challenge to figh Azuma Nelson...a true great, who 1st time round was , being a Don King fighter, awarded the win over Fenech, 2nd time around no problem!
