Very similar fighters, Barry`s body attack would give him an edge, but Fenech did well in his first fight vs Nelson, I always felt Nelson would have been far too powerful for Barry because he was a come forward figter, but the fight with Fenech proved that wasn`t true, however all that was corrected in the rematch, so this will be a tight one indeed.
Two of my favorite fighters at that time and still are. Barry would always be a step behind Fenech IMO. Both guys in tremendous condition so that's not an issue. Jeff's hands against Barry getting cut could be especially with all the Close quarter battle. I wouldn't rule out some head clashes. Bottom line Jeff is the better fighter and I have him taking a UD.
Incredible fight. It would be a real war, but I reckon Fenech is just overall the more skilled and stronger fighter.
I disagree entirely. McGuigan up and during Pedroza was a body bashing fighter. Fast massive shoulders and long arms. I believe his left hook to the body would eventually cave in straight Fenech and overwhelm him anytime after 7. The Barry up to EUSEBIO was a tough mother ****er. He changed after though but still destroyed Taylor. McGuigan by KO.
Think that left hook to the body would get Fenech in an action packed bout. That hook to the body was a real weapon for however short and was thrown short fast and hard.
An all action fight. Barry's one of my top, lower weight guys, but Fenech would take it. He gets a decision, maybe knocking down Barry at the end. Both men bear the scars of battle and there d be a massive out cry for a rematch.
