I'm not saying his resume isn't better than Rigondeaux's. Rigondeaux's resume is limited due to everyone near his divison refusing to even mention him after he beat Donaire. My point is that Rigondeaux outperformed Fenech at elite level during or near prime years, which includes one opponent for each. Fenech had the luxury of getting fights with guys like Zarate and Zaragoza. Santa Cruz, Mares, Frampton, and others pretended like Rigo didn't even exist. No reasonable person thinks they would've beaten him.
Frampton literally took Rigo’s belt via politics, refused to even mention him, then exited the division when it was apparent that he’d be forced to fight him by the WBA. Nevermind stealing his nickname. It warms my heart that Jamel Herring, a southpaw of limited popularity, brutally ended Frampton’s career.
